The Barrel chair was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the home of a client, Herbert Johnson. Inspired by the shape of a barrel, it is a very simple design. The chair is made up of two pieces, a semicircular structure that includes the legs and armrests and a circular seat covered in leather. Wright designed the Barrel chair so that it could be mass-produced.
